It was very tough 1st draw for most of the judokas in Lebanon. All losses were against all of the eventual medalists of the games.

In judo, the three judokas lost by ippon in their first match. Maxime Raymond (Kedgwick) lost to Moha Ghazouani of Tunisia in the third minute of competitions while Ok Ikejiani (Quispamsis) was the loser to Bog Barbulescu of Romania in the second minute. Myriam Lamarche (St-Quentin) lost to Zouak of France.  

Josh Shannon, Saint John, won his first match in the -60kg category by ippon against Mamebir Ndiayé of Senegal before losing by ippon against Fabric Flammand of the Belgium. He lost in repechage to Deza Eli Gratte of the Ivory Coast.
